Ki Ryu Ju Jutsu was developed after decades of applying and refining traditional Japanese Ju Jutsu techniques. The foundation for this style of was influenced by multiple traditional schools including Nisedo Ju Jutsu, where Sensei Govoni holds the rank of Nidan, and Yama Ryu Ju Jutsu, where Sensei Govoni was awarded the rank of Sandan.
Ki Ryu Ju Jutsu honors its Japanese heritage by staying true to the highly effective techniques which were taught in combat centuries ago. These techniques have been lost in many modern styles of martial arts, because they are painful to practice.
Many traditional martial arts offer ceremonial techniques and movements which may look impressive on the stage or the screen. Ki Ryu Ju Jutsu remains focused on techniques which allow the martial artist to effectively eliminate any threat, as efficiently as possible.
If it doesn't work on the street or in the ring, you won't see it in the curriculum!
